Four Sisters of Mercy arid three Christian brethren are expected to arrive iti Ballaarat shortly front England, when the nuns will form a convent for educational purposes. The Star says Bishops Goold and Shiel are expected to arrive in Australia by next Christmas, and until the arrival of Bishop Goold in his diocese it is not probable that any further building operations will be ordered in connection with St. Patrick's Church, Jt is not ex* pected either that anything more will be known respecting the mooted creation of a Ballaarat bishopric until the return of the absent prelates.
