Per Spray, for Kaiapoi : 60 tons coal, D Maclean and Co. Per Lady Darling, for Clarence River : 8 empty tanks, Strike and Co. Per William and Mary, for Lyttelton. : 50 tons coal, order. During the last two days the shipping business of the port has been very limited. On Thursday the Persevere returned from Hokitika, the Dispatch towed co sea the nciioouer Lady Darling, bound for the Clarence River, and yesterday she performed the same sei vice for the William and Mary, for Lyttelton, and the Spray, for Kaiapoi. The s s. Tararua, from Nelson, passed this port last evening without stopping to be tendered. She is expected to return here this afternoon, when she will be waited on by the Dispatch, and take passengers for Melbourne direct. The p.s. Charles Edward will arrive this morning, and leave again in the afternoon for Hokitika, but she will return on Monday nnd ship passengors fop the Auckland Gold Fields. The s.s. Alhambra is expeoted to arrive from Melbourne direct to-day. She is announced to leave for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff Harbor, and Melbourne immediately on arrival.
