The s.B. Murray, Captain Holmes, arrived in the river early yesterday morning, from Nelson via Westport. She left Nelson at 11 p.m., on Monday last, calling at Motueka, where she shipped a quantity of produce, and left the same afternoon for Westport, arriving there on Wednesday afternoon, and leaving on Thursday evening, arriviug here as above. She leaves thia morning for Hokitika, where she will land 19360z ddwt 4grs of gold, shipped at Westport by the Bank of New Zealand, The p.s. Persevere, with the cutter Flora Macdonald in tow, arrived early yesterday morning from Hokitika. The brigantine Hilander, for Sydney, was towed to sea by the p.s Dispatch yesterday morning. The p. 8. Charles Edward, and the b b. John Perm, both for Westport and Nelson, sailed on Thursday night. The 8.8. Omeo is expected to be off the bar this morning, and will be immediately tendered and despatched to Melbourne with gold and passengers. The schooner Leonidas, from Melbourne, was towed to the wharf at ten o'clock last m'ght by the p.s. Dispatch, after a long passage of three weeks. We observe by the Christchurch papers that the schooner Elfin cleared the Customs on Saturday, and sailed for Greymouth on Sunday aftern,oon, with a full cargo of colonial produce. The s.B. Airedale arrived off Hokitika on Wednesday evening last, and was detained there until late on the following night. She was expected, off this port early that n'gur. and the p.s. Dispatch left the wharf at eight o'clock to tender her, but the Airedale did not arrive until a. quarter pftst eleven o'clock, when she was tendered and passed on. She shipped eight passengers at this port. The Dispatch had to remain outside all night, aud crossed the bar shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday.
