In the alterations, so extensive that this Hotel may be considered rebuilt, the Proprietors have not only considered every accessory to comfort, but have endeavored to combine in its furnishing whatever art and taste could suggest, so that the most particular may be suited. In making this announcement, the Proprietors cannot refrain from expressiug their thanks fur the patronage they have all along received, and their earnest resolve to retain it. The permanent boarder and the casual visitor will alike find their comfort has been carefully consulted; and sample rooms have been specially prepared for the convenience of commercial travellers. Tne Dining-room is vnder the immediate care of the Proprietors.' From the Balcony, a magnificent view is commanded of the river, bar and sea. The Reading-lloom, replete with Home and Colonial papers, forms a delicious lounge, aud is kept at genial heat and well ventilated, and from its large proportions and the antechambers adjoining is admirably adapted for Lodge meetings, public assemblies, and dinners, which latter are prepared on the shortest notice. The Bedrooms, being well furnished and well ventilated, recommend themselves. The Billiard-room is spacious and lofty, | and contains one of Alcock's and one of Pazer's tables, of an excellence that has not hitherto been surpassed; and the attention and civility of the markers may be depended upon. lii each of the numerous Sitting-rooms there is a comfortable fireplace.
