A parcel of 2000 bushels Victorian wheat found a buyer at equal to o.s 9Jd on. short terms. Maize is not offering in quantity ; tra,de sales of sound are effected at 3s 3d. Prime samples of Victorian oats have been more sought after, and 2s lOJd to 3s has been paid for superior. Cornsacks are tolerably well held for 13s, at which figure a line' of forty bales was quitted. In teas we' dp not find much activity ; of the Tek Li's cargo, trade sales have taken place &t 2s in bond. Tobaccpes continue to be dispps.ed of to a good extent ; 50 boxes aromatic and 30 boxes tens, ex Portland, having been moved off at full rates. In liquids, brandies are improving under the influence of the I brisk demand experienced, and sales are said to have taken place, though the particulars did not reach us. Trueman's stout, bottled by Porter, meets with attention, in trade lots, at 7s 9.d. W e regret to. nqtice the suspension of Messrs Ay. S. Anderson and Co. The liabilities are stated at L 15 ,000, of which only L4OOO is with colonial credit, r ; and the available assets are estimated at L6OOO. The firm's losses amount to nearly £20,000, comprising L 12,000 in stations, L 2300 in bad debts, and L 5588 on wool shipments to England. The principal creditors being out of the colony, we understand that Messrs "W. S. Anderson and Co. have filedtheir schedule.
