Dunedin. — The Daily Times of the 2nd inst. has the following :'•— Business continues quiet. The import market is without activity, and none but insignificant operations have come under notice. The advices to hand from Britain (via Panama) have had no sensible effect upon markets, which arc without any material change, either in rates or in the comparative degree of firmness with which various staples are held. Christchurch. — The following is the grain market report of the Lyttelton Times of the 7th inst. :— The grain market continues very dull, and our former quotations are not maintained. A considerable fallingroff in the demand for wheat and oats has at length caused a decline in prices. We quote wheat at 3s Gd per bushel ; barley, 3s to 3s Gd ; .and oats, 2s to 2s cd. Superfine Canterbury flour still holds its price of from Ll2 to Ll4 p;r ton ; bran, L 4; aud sharps, L 5 per toii. Good hay can now be bought at L 4 per ton delivered.
