Sydney, September 26. H. M. S, Brisk proceeds to Fiji to avenge the recent murders. The Council, has rejected the claims against Government Bill by two of a majority. The judge has decided that damages in a libel case must be paid, or a ca. sa. may issue, even though the defendant becomes insolvent. Messrs Ireland and Smyth, barrister of Melbourne, were admitted to the bar here to-day. '■•'.' Government intend applying to the Privy Council in Murphy's case. The Assembly haa granted permission to introduce the Land Bill; and is now discussing the railway loan. Adelaide, September 26. The Treiusuror has given notice of «v bill to authorise, on the part of Smith Australia, the formation of an Intercolonial Federal Council. All the shares in the Agricultural Insurance Company have been taken up. Government introduced railway extension bills to-day. The weather- is again very wet and boisterous. The schooner Leslie has been got oft* without damage. There is no alteration in the corn market.
