Notice is hekkby givkn, that a sitting of the Hokitika Cii'cuit Court, for the dispatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court-house, Hokitika, on MONDAY, the Sixteenth Day of September next, at Eleven' o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons under recognizances or otherwise bound to appear, as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance. S PR O T has just received instructions from Mr John Ferguson, to sell by auction, at the above place, SEVENTY HEAD OF CATTLE, of the class usually selected by him, but which have been described to the Auctioneer by parties who have seeu and examined them as by far the best he has ever imported. These cattle contain a considerable proportion of Working Bullocks and Heavy Steers, and combine the usual characteristics of Mr Ferguson's mobs — docility, and quality. They have been h'fted close to this market, are a very short time on the road, and the driving has been superintended by the owner himself. These are guarantees to the trade of the quality they are going to buy, Sale at 2 o'clock. No reserve.
