TEST INTERCOLONIAL NEWS.

.W* are indebted to the West Coast ' Twes for the following late items of intercolonial news : — : :|elearnihatthe M'Culloch Ministry wad-resigned, in consequence of the rejecmonifof the Appropriation Bill by the - V^egislatxve Council, and that the hon. Mr fellows had been sent for. The following paragraph from the Argus gives the latest news on the subject :— " Up to the present ■time_ the crisis remains in statu quo. JNothing has been done towards the formation of a new Ministry. The Governor applied to Mr Fellows for advice under the .extraordinary circumstances which nave arisen, bnt nothing further has been done. Some hou. members of the' Opposition desire to obtain Mr O'Shanassy'a opinion on the subject ; but lie is out of town, and will not return until Monday. Mr. Fellows has not yet attempted to form an Administration ; and it is not likely he will do so without a distinct promise from the Governor that, should the presfht Assembly prove intractable, a dissolution will be granted. It is said, however, that the Governor will grant no dissolution unless all parties are content to abide the result, and act as public opinion i thus expressed shall dictate. It is pretty evident that no new Administration can hope, for much consideration at the hands of the present Assembly. At the meeting of .Ministerial supporters held yesterday, thirty-seven members were present, and apojogies were received from nine others who; were prevented from attending. The general opinion expressed was a determination to, support the Ministry although lio formal resolution was arrived at, and ultimately the meeting was adjourned until Tuesday next, in order that a final course of action might then be deteriviined upon." The trial at Sydney of Griffins, the man who was charged with harboring the Clarkes, has resulted in his acquittal. His trial for complicity in the Jinden murder is postponed.
