A COMPLAINT.
(To the Editor of the Grey River Argus.) Sir — Permit me through the medium of your paper to suggest to the owners of the Dispatch that they should, for their own. sakes, an d / also for. the interest of the port, prevent in future as far as they possibly can the very serious inconvenience entailed on passengers who may be induced to select Greymouth as their port of departure for the Buller. Steamboat proprietors or their agents should deal fairly with intending passengers, and not induce them to remain in Greymouth, at a heavy expense, awaiting the '"positive" sailing of say, for instance, the Dispatch at a particular date, only to find that the date fixed is as mythical as the Greek Kalends, or "Tibbs"ere. Many passengers, myself among the number, Lave been detained here by the positive assertion of the agents of the Dispatch that the steamer was to sail on Monday last. The same promise was held ouo for yesterday and to-day, aud with as little truth. If this untrutbfulness was intended as a practical joke, it was rather out of place ; at any rate, it will prevent me depending on the Dispatch in future. I am, &c, Stranger. Greymouth, Wednesday evening.
