A complete list has been published of the prizes awarded at the Paris Exhibition on July 1, in the presence of the Emperor of the French, the Sultan, the Prince of Wales, the Lord Mayors of London and Dublin, aud a most brilliant assembly. The gold ancl silver platinum apparatus exhibited by them has been valued at about L 20,000. They have also been awarded a silver medal. The following are some of those English firms which have been awardedgold medals : — Clayton, Lincoln, thrashing machines ; Fowler, Cornhill, steam plough ; Garrett, Saxmudham, agricult ural machines ; Horn sby, Grantham, ditto • Howard, Bedford, steam plough ; Ransomes, Ipswich, agricultural machines ; Mereweather, Long- . acre, fire-engines ; Turton, Sheffield, files, &c. Speeches were made by the Emperor at the ceremony, and the Sultan also spoke in the Turkish language, expressive of his gratification at being present on an occasion of so much interest.
