According to the latest news from Constantinople tho pacification of Orete continues without further disorders. Of 82 Garibaldian Volunteers who had remained in the island, 13. have capitulated. Those wlio disembarked recently have been dispersed with a loss of 60 killed. The nomination of a Christian Pacha in Crete is expected immediately. Albania is for the piesent pacified. The Porte has not consented to the evacuation of Belgrade claimed by Servia. Joseph Karam. lias left Syria to take up his residence in Algeria. The French Government _ has granted to him a pension. The Sultan's guard' of volunteers from all countries has been disbanded. An Austrian man-of-war, commanded by Oapt. Herzfeld, has left for the waters of Crete. . The population of the Piraeus manifested great exasperation, and would not allow the volunteers to disembark. The police, in order to prevent disturbances, therefore conveyed them to the desert islet of St. George, near Salami?.
