Candles are far more buoyant, and though holders show more desire to make sales, buyers are not inclined to come forward ; small parcels are disposed of at ls'44d. In teas' we note the sale of the entire cargo of the Jan Peter, amounting in value ; to about L 25,000 or thereabouts, in one line, on terms withheld. A shipment of Smith and M. 'Lean's Scotch ,co r ;gated iron has been disposed of at L 27 for 2ts,giiage, and L 29 for 28 guage. The quality of the iron is said to be superior. In spirits little business has been brought under our notice.
