A tolerably fair amount of business has been transacted during the week> both for town trade, up-river, and coastwise. Prices, however, for most articles, are without change, A better feeling exists with regard: to fiour, best brands of Adelaide being worthLIG 10s. First class samples of butter are getting scarce, and fetch Is 5d to Is 6ds Sinclair's hams are'now worth Is 6d, stocks, veryilight. Oats may be quoted at 6s, and; best Melbourne chaff at Ll6 to Ll7. Potatoes, L 7 10s. A fair demand exists for most kinds of oilmens stores, and preserved sahnon may bo mentioned as having become scarce. Messrs D. Maclean and Co. report having disposed of, at satisfactory prices, a small mob of. cattle and about 40 pigs, imported, per Nelson, by Mr D. Max, who proposes to keep up a regular supply. : About 200 sheep, brought overland by Mr Geddie, have also been placed at payable rates . The same firm rpppr^ that their first weekly sales cf horses, held' at the Cosuio^olitan stables, on Tnuraday, the 7th inst., Resulted in some first-class hacks changing hauds at fair. prices. Several en hies have already been made for their ensuing sale, and the auctioneers anticipate that it will be a decided success.
