MEMBERS AND THEIR CONSTITUENTS.
(To the Editor of the. Grey fiiw Argus./ Sir, — I notice that Messrs Barff and Hoos haye.followed.the usual .and. very wholesome practice of addressing their constituents after the close of the Provincial Council. Both these gentlemen have afforded their con* stltuents a complete account'of the sessiou, and the part they took in 'the various measures brought forward, It must be satisfactory to those gentlemen to ..kjujow that they can go back to the Co.nncil's.trong in the approval and confidpnoe of their 'constituents. I have long expected that^th'e member for Greymouth would follow the laudable ex-« ample. of his colleagues and give auaqcount of his stewardship. I don't sac that he has any need to fear the ordeal, for I think his services are gsnerally regarded as having bsen useful to the community. — I am, &c, An Electob, Gveymovth, February 22, 1807,
