Sir— In reading the report of my ease in the last issue of the Ore)/ Riitftr Argil*., Avhere it appears tint although at. liberty, lam still strongly suspected, and being anxious tliat the strict truth should be knoAvn. I beg to request you to publish the .folloAving in your paper of toTniorroAV. On Monday last I was arraigned before the Resident Magistrate, and- ..charged Avith robbing Mr Coates 1 store of betAA r e-3ii L2OO and L 390. It appears tho robbery took place last Sunday Aveek, the 3rd inst. Now, Sir, I can produce fifty or more witnesfe? that I Avas at Moonlight Oraek on that flay (a distance of at least 20 miles from here) and had been there for four month', constantly hard at Avork, to scrape together the bits of precious metal, for Avhioh I ay.is .charged of robliery, and it said in your last issue I had been changing money and gold to a lavga amount since the rolibevy. I think it very hard, after toiling for Months, and when enjoying my hard earned money, to lie locked up in a prison cell for two clays and nights, for which I can get no redress.
