All applications made prior to the 12th March, 1867, will be treated' as made at the same time and Avill be^ opened at 12 o'clock at noon on that day. If there be only one applicant for ;any piece of land such applicant Avill be deemed to be the purchaser. All land not applied for before the 12th March Avill be open for selection on any day subsequent to the 12th March. The first applicant will i.n such case be deemed the purchaser. Any number of acres may be applied for not less thaii 40 If two or more persons at any time apply for the same land at the same time, it will be put up to auction at the fixed price for selection.
