Drunkenness.— James Cridland and John Woods for this offence were fined 5s each. A Stowaway. — John Brown, for having' obtained a passage from the Bulk* to Greymouth in the Kennedy without a ticket, was iiueil 10s. Robbery wtii Violence. —James Cox, who lias only recently been discharged from custody, was brought up, charged with having committed robbery at the Saltwater. It appears that the prisoner met a miner, who was rather worse for drink, on the beach, attacked him with a heavy stick, and robbed him of two L5-uotes and Ll ; the man- then ran into the bush. _ The ; victim of this outrage gave information to the police, and the prisoner was anested the following day, biit no money was found upon him. The prosecutor being unable, to attend, the prisoner was remanded until the 12th instant. ,
