"■■ Indecent Assault.— John Spindler . was charged on^the information:: of Joseph Bade w^th having committed , an indecent assault on the wife of the "complainant. It was stated in support of the charge that the : defendant had called at the house, of the.com--plainant, and committed the assault. ; A Mrj3 .Robertson was called, who was in the room at the time, but who; asserted that she. did not see the offence committed, aud further *that Mrs Bade was; drunk .at the time-. ' The defendant denied the offence, and the Magistrate dismissed the case.; -Embezzlement.— William Robertson, -reeently< employed as. a collector for the Grey River Hospitalj was brought up charged' with ha\dug embezzled monies during his term of employment. He was Veinanded for the production of witnesses,'^the Magistrate consenting to take bail- for his appearance on Tuesi day next, himself in LIOO an<l two sureties of,Lsoeach.
