Johnson and party for £50 damages, .caused by . defendants. drjkYing a .tunnel into plaintiffs' ground on Cameron's Terrace, and depriving them of washdirt to the value of LSO. Mr Tyler appeared for the defendants. The complaint was proved, and the plaintiffs produced a sample of the wash dirt, which they swore averaged 2dwts. to .the bucket, and was one foot thick lill through the lead. Judgment was given for plaintiffs arid cost . Braithwaito and party v. O'Brien and party, was a case of defendants having taken .possession of : parfc .of; plaintiffs '01aim, ..-; The defendants were ordered to, up the ground in dispute", and pay costs of the action. . . . _ - ■-■. Eruce and party v. Miller and party was a similar case, and disposed of in the same manner, . TauitspAY, August 16. Hugli Barnhill, who had been summoned to appear to a charge of having exposed gpirituou3-liquors for sale without a license r" the Saltwater Rush, and had dis'obeyfed the summons,: was now brought up on a warrant and fined L2O. Isaac Jones, for a similar offence, was fined L 2, and .cautioned. - . ; ■
