Coal at the Aorere.— We were shown a few days ago samples of the coal recently found at the Aorere, a little above Cqllirigwood. As far as appearances go, iii is of first-rate quality, and the seam gives five feet of pure coal. Paper Piping. — Bitumenized paper pipes' have been imported into Otago for a flume across a gully 900 feet in width, at Cromwell. They are said by- Warden Stratford, to answer admirably.
