THE ELECTION MEETING.
(To the Editor pf the Grey Itiver Art/iiz,) Sir — In reading your last issue I find" the report of a public meeting being held at the Union Hotel, and a statement made by the chairman (Me E, Wickes), via., that the Improvement Committee had brought forward Mr W. H. Harrison a3 a candidate to. represent Greymouth in the Provincial Council. Sir, I beg to state most distinctly that the Committee did not bring forward Mr W. H. Harrison, but called that meeting io, hear the above gcnt!c:nan's views, as he, had ottered, himself, or to hear any othercandidate coming forward.
