The Grey River Argus Office, j Friday evening. The total amount of Customs' revenue received at thin port during the mor.th of May was £5100 17s %Z Of this sum £3149 15s 5d was collected f>\\ goods cleared for home consumption, au4£1951 Is9d as export diit3 r on j gold. The acjount of gold exported during the same period was 15,6080z 14dwts. Business during the week; owing greatly to the broken state^f the weather, has been rather dull, transit by river having been im. peded by the somewhat fresh. There is no new feature to note in the trade, and prices remain nominally the same. The stock of breadstuffs, although not large, is quite equal to the demand. Best brands of Adelaide flour may be quoted £21 to £24 ; Chilian and • Californian, £16 to £20 for parcels. Horsefeed is getting more plentiful. Oats may be quoted a shade lower, Cs Cd to 6s 9d per bashel. Chaff is" still somewhat scarce, -and maintains ite value — £30 per ton might still readily be obtained for this article. Stocks cf wines and spirits being by no means heavy, prices are maintained, with an upward tendency. Marteil's ami Harness's brandy, 10a to 10s 6d per gallon in bond; other brands, 9s to 10s. There is still no demand for case brandies, Marteil's, 28a to 29s ; Hennessy's 29s to 30s, in bond. Good port wines are in demand, at prices ranging from £10 to £14 per qr., in bond, according to quality. Porter has not participated in the advance established in the Australian markets. Blcods and Mehan's 17s to ISs ; other brands 10s to 17s do, D.P. In provisions, ham 3 and bacon continue scarce, and may still be quoted 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Cheese is more plentiful ; Port Cooper, lo 3d to Is 4d for good quality. Good ! butter still fetches extensive rates, 2s 3d to 23 4d being demanded for really prime samples.. Candles during the week have been sold at high prices, as high as Is 6d to Is 7d having been paid for full weights. Sugars are -unaltered in value ; Mauritius brown crystals, £54 per ton, duty paid; white do, £55 to £57. Mhkbotjrxb.— By the Star of the Evening, we have files to the 23rd. at ss. Oats are firm at 5s 3d to 5s 6d; for fair samples, a good . deal of inquiry exists, though as yet no further transactions of importance are reported. Maize has declined somewhat, 5s lid having been taken for a small shipment of about -400 bags or thereabouts. For teas, a very brisk demand is maintained, and we hear of considerable transactions ranging from 100 to 500 chests, in a line, .of medium to fine medium congous at from la 9d to 2s Id, in bond. Sugars meet^ with buyers to a fair extent at from L4l to* Lt3 for brewing sorts; the trade, however, only purchase sparingly, pending the offer of the Waterlily's cargo, from Mauritius, which is to be Bold to-morrow at eleven o'clock. A shipment of some twenty tons of currants has beeu dispo sed of, to arrive, at sd, in bond. Trade sales of malt are mentioned at 17s 2d, in bond : far one bin, to arrive, a latesTiipment, a much less figure, however, has been accepted — a figure which shows how little confidence is entertained in the B bability of present prices. Bulk stout is in good request ; the shipment of the Artillery Brewery. Company's (150 hogsheads) referred to this mcrning,' has been placed at L 8 ; and a shipment of Whitbread, ex Blanchard, is being quitted, to land, also at LB. Sales of Bass's ale, No. three, have been made at L 7 10s. 300 cases of Allsopp's bottled ale have been quitted at 9s 3d. For a parcel of Sir R. Burnett's old torn, lls Gd has been accepted. Geneva still commands considerable attontion, some 2,000 cases JDKZ, long duty, 275, which i 3 not so abundant, changed hands in a line at 11b 6(1. A few small trado parcels JDKZ, ordinary duty, have also been sold at 22s 6d. 1,000 cases B and V have been disposed of at 9s 9d, and 1,000 halfcaseß at 7s. Adelaide. — (By telegraph to the 21st.) Wheat is firmer, owing to its scarcity. The millers offer Gs Sd. There is no export demand. The millers have raised the quotations for flour from LI 5 to LI 6 10s.
