HEATHCOTE. A very pleasant gathering in connection with this school toot place on the 14th inst. In accordance with previous arrangements the children, together with a number of parents, assembled in the district school grounds at half-past five, when the former partook of an excellent tea served on the grass. After refreshments (the greater part of which were procured from Mr Taylor, of Christchurch), the parents and friends were invited into the schoolroom, where an excellent tea was provided for them.
