ASHBURTON HIGH SCHOOL.
The prizes given to the Ashburton High School boys were distributed yesterday by Mr Joseph Ivess, M.H.R., in the absence of Dr. Trevor. Several of the local clergymen addressed the boys, and about twenty parents and others were present. The following is the prize list: — Class I. —Prize and scholarship, Fooks; prize for mathematics and Latin, Clark 1; prize for English, Low; prize for French, Fish 3. Classll. —Class prize, Foley ; prize for mathematics and Latin (a), Clark 2; prize for English, Fish 1; prize for Latin (n), Buchanan 1. Class 111. —Class prize : Buchanan 2.
