A Youthful Criminal. —Leonard Po3t, aged nearly twelve years, pleaded guilty to breaking into the apothecaries shop of Oould and Co., Colombo street, where he , had been found at a quarter to seven o'clock this morning, robbing the till. It was stated that he had been convicted seven times previously, and had been punished in various ways. He had, for instance, been imprisoned for three days, twice receiving on one occasion twelve lashes*, and on the other eighteen lashes. He was now'ordered to be sent to Burnham for a period of twelve months. In answer to a suggestion by his father, who was in Court, the Bench undertook to recommend bis release at any time if a berth on board of a ship should be provided for hhn.
