This Day. Fat Sheep—A fair supply to hand ; inquiry only moderate, buyers outside the trade helping to sustain late prices. Crossbreds, shorn, IDs, 10s 6d, 12,12 s 6d, 13s, and very prime 14s per head ; Ixd per lb may be quoted as an average. Merino mutton very much neglected. Store Sheop.—A good supply. For good conditioned sheep competition very brisk and high values paid. Unshorn cross-bred ewes with lambs, 15s per head; hoggets 9s, shorn; and other sorts in proportion. Fat Lambs —Market well supplied. Inquiry good at from 6s to 8s 6d per head. I’jp Dull market and low prices. Fat Cattle— This market fairly supplied, some excellent quality being sent forward. The sale, which was proceeding when our report left, was very languid, late low prices being the rule, 20s to 23s per 1001 b averaging. Store Cattle —Market well supplied. Sale not yet commenced.
