Northern Handicap. — Siesta, Statesman, Eebecca, Farewell, Supplejack. As will be seen by the above all the horses nominated in the open races, with the exception of Supplejack in the Hurdles, have accepted. A special train for these races has been, arranged for, leaving Christchurch on the morning of the races —Anniversary day—at ten o’clock, returning from Ambcrley at 8 p.m.

Trebles on the three Cups ate taken freely at 500 to 5, the horses taken for the Auckland and Wellington Cups being invariably Welcome Jack and Bundoora respectively.
