RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Three to start in each event or no second prize. 2. Any competitor entering under a false name will be disqualified. 3. The start to be made by first report of a pistol. 4. All protests to be decided by the Sports Committee, five to form a quorum, their decision to be final, 10s to be deposited with each protest, to be returnable at the discretion of the committee. 5. Entries, with list of previous performances, for events 2,3, 5,8, 9, and 16, to close on Thursday, December 14, at 8 p.m., at the Oddfellows’ Chambers, Lichfield street, Christchurch. Handicaps declared on Wednesday, December 20th; acceptances to be sent to the Secretary, Oddfellows’ Chambers, on Friday, December 22ud. at S p.m. Entries not otherwise specified to bo made at the Committee Room on the ground fifteen minutes before the start of the race. 6. All prizes not claimed on the day of the fete will be forfeited. 7. The relative order of events may be altered by the committee. 8. Winners may select trophies in lieu of money. 9. The winner of the bagpipe competition, to play for the Highland liing. 10. All competitors not at the starting pC'St at the proper time will be disqualified.
