The result of the first innings of the Timam men was given yesterday, the side only making the small total of 51. The Auckland team scored more freely, and, as will be seen by the annexed score, made 114. The Timaru Eleven made a bad start for their second innings, losing two wickets for 2 runs, one of the wickets being that of Raymond, who in the first innings made 18, but this time fell before Lankham fora duck’s egg. The match was resumed to-day. Timaru, with eight wickets to fall and 61 runs to get to save a one inning’s defeat, continued their innings at two o’clock. With the score at 4, Hughes was bowled by Lankbarn. Eichbaum was the next man, and scored rapidly, pimishing both bowlers. 20 soon appeared on the telegraph. Eich■banm was finally bowled by Robinson after getting 19—4—19—29. Latest.
