The Customs duties collected at Christ" church on Monday, November 27th, were as follows: —Spirits, £2lO 14s Id ; tobacco, .£lls 3s ; wine, £3O 14s ; beer, £8 14s; sugar, £B3 Is lOd ; tea, £274 5s ; goods by weight, £3O 18s 2d; ad valorem, £22 16s ; other duties, £56 16s. Total, £B4l 2s Id. PEOPEETY SALE. Messrs H. Matson and Co. held a sale of property in the estate of Mr F. W. Delamain on Tuesday afternoon, at their Land and Estate Salerooms, Cashel street. The attendance was very fair, but the biddings slow. The Abberley Estate, situate at St. Albans, was passed in at a bid of £1975. The following sections situate at Avonside, containing each one quarter acre, sold as follows No. 19, £soNos. 16, 30, 20, 31, and 15 at £4B each; and sections 45 and 47, situate in Harrison’s paddock. East St. Albans, containing one half-acre, together with a four-roomed cottage. £145 ; and No. 41, £47105. Total sale, £482 10s.
