The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand report that the following are the latest market quotations : —Nothing is done in malting barley, and prices are nominal. Shipping wheat is decidedly firmer at 5s fid. New Zealand oats, duty paid, are rather weaker at 3s 9d to 4s 2d for feeding qualities, and 4e 3d to ■4s 4d for milling ditto. There is rather more enquiry for New Zealand oats in bond, and prices are less depressedPressed quotations range from 3s 4-d to 3 Bd. Prime hams are in good demand at 9Jd, and there is a fair demand for bacon at Bd. Owing to the recent heavy rains business is dull, and the bad weather has hindered the progress of harvest operations in the grain district.
