THE MARKETS. deceived November 25th, 1.30 a.m. LONDON, November 23
Consols have advanced i, to 102 J-. The Sank rate remains at 5, and the market rate discount at 4 per cent. The Bank reserve is £10,500,000, being 700,000 more than last week. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotations: — Kve per Cent. 10-40 Loan, 105 i ; Five per Cent. 18S9 Loan, 104 ex div. ; Fbur-and-a-Balf per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan, 103}. Colonial breadstuffs are unchanged at -493 6d for Adelaide wheat ex warehouse ; 443 to 47s for New Zealand wheat ex warehouse ; and 343 for Adelaide flour ex warehouse. Australian tallow—best beef is at 42 j best mutton at 43s Gd. There is a good demand for Australian hides at full prices. At the .wool sale to day 7700 bales were catalogued. The market continues dull. 2500 bales have been withdrawn from sale since the opening of the series.

The tenders for the four per cent., one million loan, for South Australia were opened to-day. The total amount offered -was found to be £574,000, the tenders averaging £99 Is 6d. Tenders will now be invited at par for the unalloted balance of ,£426,000.
