The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Saturday, November 18th, were as follows :—Spirits, -£162 9s 4d; cigars, .£33 12s lid; wine, .£3l Is 4d; sugar, £4 13s 4d; tea, £l7 8s ; goods by weight, £ll 4a 3d; ad valorem, £3 14s ; other duties, £8 14s. Total, £393 19s 2d. PEOPEETY SALE. Messrs H. Matson and Co. held a sale on Monday, at Woolston, of the leasehold property in the estate of Silbnrn and Co. The lease, having nine years to run rent free, and which comprised one acre of land, buildings, engine and boiler, sold for £SOO. The plants and implements for carrying on the manufacture of flax realised satisfactory, prices.
