The damage is estimated at .£IOO,OOO. The trial of another of the prisoners concerned in the murder of the Joyce family. County Galway, in August last, was concluded to-day, a verdict of “ Guilty” being returned by the jury. Sentence of death was passed upon the prisoner. A report is current hero to-day that the cargo of frozen mutton per steamship Marsella, which left Dunedin on the 22nd of September last, was jettisoned near Java, owing to the refrigerating machinery having broken down.. November 18. Sir Stafford Northooto has started on a health cruise to the south of Europe, and expects to be absent from England for two months. Her Majesty the Queen reviewed all the troops which hare returned from Egypt at the Horse Guards today. The various regiments afterwards marched through Piccadilly and and received an ovation from an immense concourse of people assembled along the route. The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company has declared a dividend of 3£ per cent, for the last half year, together with a bonus of 2 per cent. Consols have declined I, and are now quoted at 102. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,120,000 quarters. There are no changes to report in the colonial produce markets. Colonel Scratchley is made an Honorary Major-General on the retired list, and he and Messrs William McArthur and Thos. Mcllwraith are appointed Knights of St. Michael and St. George, and ' Mr Michael Stuart Mitchell, of Fiji, a Companion of the same Order.
