She had about 600 bales of wool and some sundries for London. The barque Edwin Bassett is reported to be loading at Wellington with timber for Lyttelton. « , , The barque Bells of this port, and now expected from Dunedin with part cargo of sugar, left Port Louis on September 28th ; carried the usual trade wind until October sth, when heavy N.W. gales set in, with a heavy westerly sea, and continued until October 13th; canned fine weather, and crossed the meridian of Cape Leuwin on October 28th ; moderate breezes followed ; cleared Povnanx Strait on the 11th ; had a northerly breeze for twenty-four hours, followed by S.E. and S.S.E. winds to arrival at Port Chalmers.
