PROPERTY SALES. Mb Chaeles Clabk held an auction salo at his rooms yesterday at noon, which was well attended. The first lot offered was an unusual one at present in the colony, viz., a reversionary interest under will. This was sold for £ 455. The lease of those wellknown stables, Carew’s, was next submitted, and failed to be quitted, but negotiations are pending most likely to lead to sale. The Ocean View Hotel, Governor’s Pay, was next submitted, which, after much persuasion at the hands of the auctioneer, eventually fell to the bid of Mr J. G. Garforth at -£1225. For this lot there was considerable competition. Five building sections in front of the hotel were then tried, but failed to find a purchaser, but no difficulty is anticipated, as the figure asked is very reasonable. A nice block of three and a-half acres at Sandridgeanda shop and, dwelling-house on the Pound road were offered, but not sold. A salo of the private house of Mr Alfred Thompson, situate in Armagh street west, was made at AISOO. This lot, together with the Ocean View Hotel, was sold by Mr Clark in conjunction with Messrs Acland, Barns and Co. At Mr Clark’s auction sale at the residence of the late Colonel Packe, Upper Riccarton, there was a good attsudance.
