It is reported that an error, amounting -to 100,000 francs, has been discovered in the French budget. As Judge Lawson was walking to his club, protected by a police escort, a tieket- ■ of-leave man, named Corrigan, approached him, holding a revolver concealed in his ■breast. He was promptly knocked down and arrested.
