Winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race for 400 sovs, the surplus (if any) to be divided between the second horse and the C.J.C. fund. Any horse may be claimed at entered selling price. If entered to be sold for 300 sovs, allowed 71b; for 200 sovs, 141 b; for 100 sovs, 211 b; for 50 sovs, 281 b; iweight for age. On Dit and Gitana jumped away with a strong lead, and soon outpaced the rest of the field. Just before reaching the rails If So and Eebecca bolted. On Dit was never headed, and won in a canter by three lengths from Gitana. Aurora a bad third. The Eailway Plate, of .£IOO sovs, for two-year-olds and upwards, w.f .a. Four furlongs. Mr D. The lot were sent away to a pretty fair start, and Iris’ colors soon became prominent. Sir Modred, at the rails, came with one long rush, and won easily; Iris second. Envy filly third. Time —52sec. The Selling Hack Eacc, of 10 sovs, was won by Noumea, beating eight others.
