MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations) : WEDNESDAY, NOYEMBEE 8. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Wairarapa, at 8 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. SATURDAY, NOYEMBEE 11. For Northern ports, per Hawea, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. Note. —Thursday, November 9th (Prince of Wales’ Birthday), being a Post Office holiday, all branches of the department will be closed on that day. Mails despatched on Thursday morhing will be closed at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November Bth, on which date also the delivery department will be open between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m., when correspondence usually delivered by letter-carriers will be handed to applicants.
