MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations) : TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7. | {For Northern ports, per Wanaka, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not he used for this mail. WEDNESDAY. NOVEMBER 8. For Australian Colonies, per express, to connect with Manapouri, at 7 a.m. For Northern ports and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipu, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Wairarapa, at 8 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. Noth. —Thursday, November 9th (Prince of Wales’ Birthday), being a Post Office holiday,. all branches of the department will be closed on that day. Mails despatched on Thursday morning will be closed at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November Bth, on which data also the delivery department will be open between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30p.m., when correspondence usually delivered by letter-carriers will be handed to applicants.
