OHOKA AND EYRETON JOCKEY CLUB.
A special meeting of this club was held at Fountain's Junction Hotel, Ohoka, on Tuesday evening, at which there was a fair attendance of members. Mr, G. Bailey, president, occupied the chair. The principal business was the consideration of a proposition to erect a public stand on the racecourse, and it was finally arranged with the members of the Eyreton Domain Board, who were present, that this Board should erect a stand at a cost of £l5O, the club paying 10 per cent, per annum on the outlay. Tenders were ordered to be invited for the erection of the same, for the races to be held on Boxing Day. Several other items of business were gone into, and the meeting then adjourned.
