MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations) :• — TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Eotorua, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (for correspondence addressed per Orient steamer) and Australian Colonies, per express (fo connect with Arawata), at 7 p.m. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Cape of Good Hope, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Taiaroa, as follows : —Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, 6.30 p.m.; money orders, 3 p.m.; registered correspondence, 5 p.m.; guard’s van, 8.15 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on December 18th.
