For this exhibition, on Thursday next, tbe entries for which closed on Tuesday lust, the entries are greatly in excess of last year, and the show, as will be scan by a comparative statement, promises to be a great success. The numbers, kindly supplied by the hon.
tEha aalo of pririlejes for the show ground realised £46 10s, namely—Publican's booth, j. Haber;s. £18; confectioner's booth, J. Bobinnon, £9,- catalogues, T. White, £l4 10» ; horse yards, T. White, £1 10j. At a meeting of the council of the society on Wednesday, it was decided that tickets to admit the exhibitors to the flower show be issued on production of a ticket from the Horticultural Society In reference to an application made to the Canterbury Agricultural Society, to allow entries for its show to be taken on the ground, the secretary reported that entries would close on 31st, and the time oonld not be extended.
