Arabi implicates the Khedive ai d Saltan in the recent defence of Alexandria, and states that the former was in command.

Lieut.-Genoral Sir John Adyo has been appointed Governor-General of Gibraltar, in consideration of his services in EgyptEarl Spencer, Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, has returned from his recent visit to England.
