The balance of the shipment of meat ex Matanra is averaging s|d per lb. The cargo by the Chimborazo has arrived in excellent condition, and it is thought will meet with a ready eale. Baker Pasha, who is reorganising the Egyptian army, has, it is understood, decided that the officers in the army ■hall be one-half English and one-half native.
