Mails close for the following places as nn.dar (subject to the necessary alterations): — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12. For Akaroa and Otago, per Hawea, at 9.40 a.m ; late fee letters, 9.50 a.m,; guard's van, 10.25 a.m. train.
For Northern ports and Australian Colonies, via Sydney, per Manaponri, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. The Union Company intend despatching the Botomahana for Melbourne direct on October 26th. The steamer will arrive in Melbourne on the night of October 30lh, and the Gup will be run the next day.
