The New South Wales revenue last quarter amounted to. £1,750,000, being an increase of £41,500 as compared with the September quarter of 1881. The principal increases are in Customs and railways. The revenue for the year ended 30th September was £7,250,000, being an increase of £378,000 as compared with the corresponding period of 1880-81.

Received October 2nd, 1.45 p.m. MELBOURNE, October 2. William Hill, manager of tho Colonial Bank of Australasia at Reedy Creek, has been arrested, charged with tho robbery which was committed at that branch on August 22nd last. ADELAIDE, October 2. The revenue of South Australia for the September quarter amounted to £525,000, being a decrease of £85,250 as compared with the corresponding period of 1881. The decrease is mainly due to the falling off in land revenue, BRISBANE, October 2. It is stated that tha Government are likely to be in a minority on tho Warrogo Railway Bill, now before the Assembly, and that it is probable a dissolution will take place if tho Ministry are defeated.
