By Electric Telegraph—Copyright, [reuter's telegrams ] Received September 30th, 1.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, September 30. The supposed smallpox patient at Hamilton died to-day. The Victorian revenue for the quarter ended September 30th amounted to £1,320,000, being an increase of £33,000 as compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The total revenue for the year ended September 30th amounted to £5,620,000, being an increase of £317,000 as compared with the previous year. Lavinia and Phorens have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. Received October 2nd, 0.45 a.m. SYDNEY, September 30. The strike of ironworkers in this city has been virtually settled, the masters having conceded an advance of one penny per hour upon the present scale of wages.
