It is believed that the appointment of Permanent Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs, rendered vacant by the death of the late Lord Tenterden, will be offered to Sir Julian Panncefote, K.C.M.G.,0 8., legal Under-Secrotary. The cricket match, Australian team versus Eleven of England, was concluded to-day at Harrogate. The Australians resumed their second innings, requiring 56 runs to win the match, and with six wickets to fall. The required number of runs was obtained for a loss of two additional wickets.
